The Sun Met will be bringing racing enthusiasts and fashionistas together to celebrate and witness the thrill of Africa's Richest Race Day. Expect world-class horse racing entertainment, and equestrian-inspired elegance like you've never seen before – proudly hosted by Sun International.
Dressing for the races can be the most difficult exercise, because the annual event is theme specific, 2020 being African Luxury: Visionaries, as well as all the other elements that come with attending the annual horseracing event. Ahead of the Sun Met, we put together a style guide with CSquared. You're welcome. The dress code police are quite militant - and unwavering. So, for those attending, here's the drill: if not opting to wear very formal attire, you'll definitely need well-tailored pants or shorts worn with or without a waistcoat, shirt and tie (no bowties), white sneakers of course or formal shoes and a hat sans embellishment (so no adding ribbons etc.).
Here are some of the looks we’ve compiled for you with the help from our friends at CSquared.
